Update on Paperwork Delay
We heard back from our facilitator and the in-country team on the paperwork issue delay. The paperwork issue is resolved (praise God!) but we have to wait to submit our dossier for another month because of it. We are so bummed that we have to wait even longer, but we are SO thankful that the issues are resolved and we are able to move forward. We are so glad we chose to keep fighting for our Theodore. We know without a doubt that he is our son.

Paperwork - Check!
Two weeks ago we stopped by our social worker's office and picked up the golden envelope! Well...it was just a manilla envelope, but it sounds better if I call it 'golden.' This envelope contained the copies of our finalized homestudy report, which is the piece we needed to make the next big step in our process.

Our Roller Coaster
The last couple weeks have been quite a roller coaster of excitement and frustrations.
We experienced delays with our social worker finishing our home study report. She told us that we needed to provide some kind of proof (bank statement, loan pre-approval, etc.) showing we have all the rest of the expenses for the entire adoption covered, should we not be able to fundraise the rest. This seemed backwards to us, since we can't apply for any grants or even adoption loans without a completed home study! We didn't know what to do. We worried, we prayed and at times I wanted to curl up in a ball and just cry.
